SPAY DAYS
1st Tues. every month

Each year Sutherlin Veterinary Hospital hosts a low cost spay and neuter clinic that benefits low income and multiple animal owners. A portion of the proceeds are donated to a non-profit organization every year.
This year we have added more days to help out Douglas County Low Cost Veterinary Services unti they open in the fall.

We have many volunteers who come back every year to help make our spay days a success.  These photos are from this years Spay Day USA Feb. 23, 2010.

Dr. Mary and Ruth are in the process of neutering a cat.

There is always a devoted volunteer monitoring patient recovery.

Sue is intubating a cat before it goes in for surgery.

Thanks to the staff and volunteers Spay Days USA went off without a hitch.  Everyone had a good time while helping the community.

Every little job gets done quickly and easily when everybody knows what to do.  Whether it is vaccinations, paperwork, computer work or patient recovery everyone works together to keep down pet overpopulation.

Prepared for anything, Elaine has her oven mitts ready for the possible fractious cat.

Dr. Steve & Dr. Modesto hard at work while Judy and Rachael are monitoring anesthesia (and having a little fun).
