EQUINE PREVENTICARE PROGRAM

PreventiCare is a wellness program sponsored by Pfizer Animal Health, which focuses on preventative medicine and is designed to identify and treat problems before they become a threat to our horse's health.  As a participating PreventiCare practice, we will enroll your horse and provide the following fundamental services over the course of a year.

Bi-annual physical exams          Vaccinations          Dental care          Sheath cleaning

Nutritional counseling          Bi-annual deworming with ivermectin          Strongid C2X

Pfizer will reimburse up to $5000.00 worth of incurred expense should an enrolled horse suffer a surgical colic.  To qualify, your horse must be between 5 months and 20 years of age, and must have had no colic episodes within the last year.  Horses with a history of colic surgery are not eligible. 
These services must be performed by the Dr. or staff of Sutherlin Veterinary Hospital to qualify through our hospital.    
                                   Strongid C2X and Ivermectin dewormers must be purchased through our hospital.
